The selection process at IIM K consists of Essay Writing (WAT) and Resume writing, followed by Personal Interview.
Here, resume writing is a basic questionnaire. There are two questions. First question is for candidates with work experience only. Second question is mandatory for all.

- Describe a situation when you had to compromise with your decision with someone who was senior to you. How did you handle it and what was the result?
- Situation where you had to fight with a colleague/ friend. What was your role in it?
- Write about the leadership traits which your subordinates like and dislike about you and give the agreements and disagreements on the same.
- Describe a rewarding work place situation and the gains from it, lessons and learning from it.
- Tell of any instance which turned out be completely different (more difficult than you had anticipated) than you imagined before. How did you handle it and what did you learn?
- Mention a scenario by giving concrete example in which you developed plan to adapt to a new situation.

- Mention a scenario in which your leadership skills were challenged.
- Write about an incidence where your friends (team/subordinates) didn’t agree with your decision. How did you handle the situation?
