Goa Institute of Management (GIM) accepts the scores of XAT, CAT, GMAT, and CMAT for admission to its PGDM programmes. Apart from the General PGDM, it offers specialised PGDM in Healthcare Management;Big Data Analytics; and Banking, Insurance & Financial Services. As per NIRF rankings, GIM features among the top 50 B-schools of India.
The final selection is based on the Entrance Test(XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT) scores, past academic records, work experience, past accomplishments, and performance in admission rounds.
Selection Process
The admission procedure for GIM’s PGDM admissions 2022 followed the given order:
- Shortlisting (based on CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/CMAT score)
- Written Ability Test (WAT)
- Group Discussion (GD)
- Personal Interview
Written Ability Test (WAT)
For WAT, candidates are required to write 250-300words on a given topic.Listed below are some of the topics given for WAT round of PDGM admissions 2022:

- Should same-gender marriage be legalised in India?

Group Discussion (GD)
In GD round, a group of six candidates were given a topic to discuss, and there was one panellist to judge the same. The candidates were asked to speak in favour of or against the topic.
They had 2 minutes to think and prepare, 1 minuteeach to speak, and the complete discussion was allotted around 40 minutes. Some of the GD topics were as follows:
- Role of culture and creativity in management education
- There should be no exams in MBA colleges
- Are online platforms making us lazy?
- Is it better to read from one history book or multiple history books?
- Plastic Ban : Environment and Economic consequences
Interview Experiences
A group of two panellists evaluated the candidates on their academics, work experience, and general knowledge. Each interview went on for 10-15 minutes.
