General Instructions for AWT- How well reasoned do you find this argument. State how do you find authors line of reasoning. How would you be able to strengthen/weaken the argument? Do you find the conclusion plausible? Give your views regarding the same.
  • Given a paragraph where the writer was of the opinion to end subsidy in education. The education loans are easily available. After studies, it can be paid in easy installments. We need money to compete with world class colleges. Do you agree or disagree with writer's views?  To what extent and why? What are the assumptions of writer? What can weaken or strengthen the statements of writer?
  • Given a paragraph on how homework is a redundant and that such techniques are outdated. Comment on the author’s point of view.
  • Given a case study on automated driverless cars and the job losses that may result from it. Union minister said that India is not ready for automated cars as it would lead to millions of job loss. At present, Indian market is not suitable for this technology. In the future, we may very well be left with no choice but to opt for it but for now, it is a no to such technology. Do you agree or not?
  • Case study on whether State Agricultural University needs to be shut down or not.

You have supported driverless cars but how will you find job for the drivers who lose their job? If you are appointed by government to make a plan for shifting this work force, how will you do it? Give some examples from India where such situations happened and how did people cope up with it? Do support your argument with numbers. Why PGP? And not PGPx? How is oil governing world economics? How can you say that USA is entering other nations because of oil and not for other reasons? How does Gulf region determine oil prices and dictate it? Since BPCL privatisation is happening, what is your perspective as an employee?
