You are an engineering student, passed recently. What excites you to join this course? So, do you read any socio-political journal? So, have you ever read any articles of TISS professors there? Would you name some contributors to EPW magazine? So, you read articles of Anand Teltumbde. You know he has been facing a lot of troubles for the last few months? Suhas Palshikar wrote about which issues? So, Freedom of Expression should be absolute or not? Why Muktibodh was so pessimistic? How the activities of mining become defining points of conflict and development at some places? So, what you want to do? Please ask any questions regarding this place and the course.

Tell me about yourself. Why HR? Tell us about your work profile. (some cross questioning) How did your product help the customer? How is Vipassana relevant in HR and management? If you are an HR manager, how will you sympathize or empathize with a woman employee who has just lost her husband? Do you know about labour laws in India? Which of these labour laws are applicable in the company where you work? Which are the top three labour unions in India? Name the top three HR gurus. Have you read any book on HR? Are you aware of the Constitution of India? So, tell me what is concurrent list? What is the difference between marketing and HR? Why do you want to switch from engineering to management? How are you suitable for a career in HR? What is the law of natural justice? Should Facebook page (and other such social profiles) be shared with your manager? Is it a breach of privacy?

Introduce yourself. How does your management do appraisal? What is the appraisal format? What is KRA? Are you aware of labour laws? If there is discrimination in an organization, how will you handle it? What do you mean by conflict? Did you face any problems from HR department? Which are the unions in banking sector? How are workman grievances addressed? and Customer feedback? How have you prepared for the interview? Give a brief overview of the HR policies of your department. How they interact with each and every employee? Suppose, a staff member has to interact with the customer on call, how will you come to know that he has done his work diligently or not?
