Candidate Profile: B.Tech (ECE), Work Experience of 1.5 years
Tell us something about yourself. Are you an engineer? Tell us something about your college. Where do you stay and how do you travel so far? Are you a vegetarian? Which were your favorite subjects in graduation? (candidate mentioned DBMS) What is 3rd and 4th Normal form? Explain with differences and examples. What are Armstrong’s axioms? What are Transactions? What’s their importance? What are joins? Give an example of joins. Tell us about your family background. You said your father works with a pipe company. I am a looking for pipes. How would I measure the strength? Why do you want to do an MBA? (a few questions on work experience) Tell us something about your activities in college. How many seats are there in the Parliament? Justify that number. What is your biggest weakness? What do you think about the social demographic of Japan? What is your opinion about feminism and do you think it’s important for the success of the society?
(Candidate was asked to give opinion on the topic: “Current Generation is not invested in personal relationships and gets divorced quickly.”)

Candidate Profile: B.Tech (CSE), Work Experience of 2.5 years at TCS
Tell me something about yourself. So you teach students? How many students? and which class? So, how do you explain them the concept of division? How would you teach them the concept of fractions? And the concept of multiplication? Calculate the binary equivalent of 345. In which direction do you write the 1’s and 0’s? What is the significance of 1’s and 0’s? Calculate the value of log 100 (to the base 2). Have you changed the bases? Tell me something about cloud. You use Facebook. Where is the data stored? How many CMs of states have become PM of the nation?

So, you work in Oceanergy. Tell us about it. Why do you want to get into this course? So, how much of simplex method do you remember? So, let’s take my favourite optimization problem. (candidate was given a question to solve) How many corner points would be there for a general system of n linear equations? How many are there in this case? How many can you count here? Do you think some points converge at infinity? Consider numbers 1 to 100. Find out the number of Arithmetic Progressions of three numbers possible among these numbers. Tell me, can 4 and 83 be end terms of the AP? (another question was given) Now if we have 101 numbers then?
